Irina Krynina
With close to a decade experience practicing solely in litigation, Irina is an experienced and passionate dispute resolution lawyer. Irina brings precision, pragmatism and, above all else, a focus on sensible commercial outcomes to her practice.
With a special interest in contractual, building and construction, environment and planning and administrative law disputes, Irina assists corporate, government and individual clients with disputes of all sizes – from big to small. Prior to MV Law, Irina worked as a prosecutor for an environmental regulator. With this background, having advised a regulator from the inside, Irina is particularly well placed to help clients faced with investigation, regulatory action and prosecution in environmental, building and construction and related taxation matters.
At MV Law, Irina regularly appears in the ACT Supreme and Magistrates Courts and ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Having settled many cases utilising the alternative dispute resolution processes and running matters to final hearing (defended and undefended) in the Federal Court of Australia, ACT Supreme Court, NSW Court of Appeal, NSW District Court, Local and Magistrates Courts and the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Irina has the experience to recommend a strategy that strengthens prospects of success in litigation – and the wisdom to know when it is time to commence alternative dispute resolution processes.
Irina is recognised as a determined, diligent and insightful dispute resolution practitioner.
In her spare time, Irina enjoys studying her Masters of Law (Applied Law) majoring in Commercial Litigation, chasing after her daughter and getting stuck into a good book.
